SCHOOL YEAR OPPORTUNITIES

LOTS OF ACTIVITIES are planned for middle school and high school youth during the school year.  The past year's fun included lock-ins, concerts, attending a MN Wild game and a winter outdoor skating party, to name a few.  The youth also do service and awareness projects such as working at Feed My Starving Children, helping pack Operation Christmas Child boxes, and joining other youth groups in the area for the 30-Hour Famine in Minneapolis.

LOGOS/AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
is offered to Grades 6 - 8.  NInth graders make their affirmation of faith in October after completing three years of LOGOS.  LOGOS meets on Wednesdays, 5:30 - 8:00 PM during the school year. More...

HIGH SCHOOL WEDS. NIGHT YOUTH GROUP - Youth in Grades 9 - 12 meet at 6:00 PM for dinner and share together around a topic or scripture passage.  At 6:40 PM, LOGOS mentors go to their duties and everyone else hangs out to chat or do homework. At 8:00 PM, both groups get back together for a 15 minute time of devotion in a contemplative format and close out the evening.

HIGH SCHOOL WEDS. NIGHT MENTORING - Youth in Grades 10 - 12 have the opportunity to mentor 6th - 8th graders during LOGOS small groups on Wednesday nights during the school year.  The mentors eat together at 6:00 PM, and then they lead worship for the LOGOS students, and participate in skits as members of the drama team, and basically have fun and fellowship together until 8:15 PM.

YOUTH MUSICAL - Youth of Christ Lutheran create a musical which is presented during worship a weekend at the end of April. The musical is a combination of songs and short skits. The youth select the music in September and choose a theme.  Practices start in the middle of January. There are many ways to get involved such as: creating sets, light and sound tech, acting, singing, choreography, instrumental and rhythm.
